Volunteering

Rescuing dogs is a full time job! Homeward Bound Boxer Rescue can use help in the following areas:

We need Foster Homes

Fostering is one of the most important aspects of rescuing a dog. It gives us the chance to see how the dog's temperment uis, what quirks they exhibit and how they relate to people and other animals. If you choose to foster for us, we will cover the cost of all veterinary care that the dog needs while in your home. Please consider fostering, you could save a life! Contact us at hbbrboxers@yahoo.com for more information and an application.

We need Money
Please consider donating. Our veterinary costs can easily reach over $10,000 a year. All money will go towards the care of the animals. One dog with major health problems can stretch our resources beyond our means.

We need Help with Transportation

We often gets call requesting that we move homeless or displaced dogs immediately. We need people around the Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania region to assist with moving these boxers to their new locations. Please contact Lauren at lauren_chesterton@merck.com for more information.

We need Help with Home Visits
Many people express interest in our available dogs and would like to be considered for adoptive homes. We need dedicated individuals to help conduct home visits to determine the suitablity of the homes for our rescues. If you are interested in helping please contact Lauren at lauren_chesterton@merck.com.
